Faith & Formation
Faith is something we are called to grow in throughout our lives. At St Michael’s, Faith and Formation ministries support parishioners of all ages in deepening their relationship with God through prayer, learning, and participation in the life of the Church.
There are a number of opportunities to be involved:
-
Sacramental Preparation
-
RCIA (Becoming a Catholic)
-
Youth and Young Adults
-
Prayer Groups
-
Rosary
-
Adoration
-
Seasonal Programs (Lent and Advent)
These ministries help nurture both personal faith and the shared spiritual life of the parish community.
Sacramental Preparation
Sacramental Preparation supports children and families as they prepare to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. These programs help participants grow in understanding and faith, while also supporting parents in their role as the primary educators of their children in the faith.
RCIA (Becoming a Catholic)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a journey for those interested in becoming Catholic, or for those who wish to learn more about the faith. Through a process of formation, discussion, and prayer, participants are guided into the life of the Church and prepared to receive the sacraments.
Youth and Young Adults
This ministry provides opportunities for young people to grow in faith, build friendships, and engage more deeply with the life of the Church. Through gatherings, discussions, and events, it aims to support young parishioners in living out their faith in today’s world.
Prayer Groups
Prayer groups offer a space for parishioners to come together in shared prayer, reflection, and encouragement. These gatherings help foster a deeper spiritual life and strengthen connections within the parish community.
Rosary
The Rosary is a central devotion in the life of the Church. Parishioners are invited to join in praying the Rosary together, reflecting on the life of Christ through the eyes of Mary and growing in faith through this longstanding tradition.
Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration provides a quiet and prayerful opportunity to spend time in the presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. It is a time for personal prayer, reflection, and simply being present with the Lord.
Seasonal Programs (Lent and Advent)
During key liturgical seasons such as Lent and Advent, the parish offers programs, reflections, and opportunities for renewal. These seasons provide a chance to pause, reflect, and grow in faith alongside the wider parish community.
