Sacraments and Sacramental Preparation

Procedures for Baptism:
1. Fill in the Baptism Form. Click HERE . It is the requirement that at least one parent is a fully initiated Catholic, and at least one Godparent is a fully initiated Catholic. A copy of one Parent’s and one Godparent’s Baptism certificate is required. A godparent has to be at least 16 years old, must have been confirmed and received first Holy Communion, and needs to live a life of faith which will be an example and support to their godchild.

3. Wait for confirmation of receipt of email and form.
4. Baptism is held DURING Mass on 4th week of the month on Sundays at 8.30am.
5. Both parents and godparents of candidate to be baptized MUST be present for the rehearsal.
6. A compulsory rehearsal will be held on Saturday at 10am, the day before the Baptism.
7. Kindly ensure that all Baptism requests are to be submitted at least ONE MONTH before the Baptism.
8. Kindly bring your own baptism candle and/or stole (white garment for the child).
9. Grandparents are highly encouraged to attend the Baptism.

Procedures for Funerals:
Preparing for a funeral for the deceased loved one is an emotional experience and unique for every family. The desirability of celebrating a funeral in the Parish Church or at the cemetery chapel should not be underestimated. Our Parish Priest will guide you through the process of preparing the liturgy. However the following will be of assistance when the funeral is to be celebrated by our Parish Priest.

1. In the first instance, the Parish Priest should be contacted by the Funeral Director to ascertain that the Priest and Church are available.
2. All readings are to be from Scripture.
3. All music must be sacred / liturgical.
4. Christian symbols placed on the coffin are to be appropriately Christian.
5. In the interest of time, one (1) eulogy is permitted.
6. The booklet must be vetted and approved by the Parish Priest before printing.
7. Flowers, music, projector slides, booklets are not provided.
